Laura Ingalls Wilder Pageant

The Wilder Pageant is a family-oriented outdoor drama based on the life of Laura Ingalls Wilder in Walnut Grove, whose writings provided the inspiration for TV's "Little House on the Prairie". It is a live performance each night with all characters from the Walnut Grove area. Laura narrates the story, reflecting on her life in Walnut Grove in the 1870's.

Pursuit of Excellence Marching Band Competition September 19, 2009

Annual event held the next to the last Saturday in September. Field competition takes place at Mattke Field on the campus of SMSU in the evening. Come see top ranked high school marching bands from Minnesota and surrounding states compete.
